Hi, My name is Roy Edlund and I’m the Blog Header Guy and that beautiful woman in my embrace is my wife of 27 years, Sandie.
For nearly thirty years I made my living as a custom signmaker specializing in hand carved, gold-leaf signs. But to be honest, there probably isn’t anything sign related that I haven’t done at least once during that time period. 
About three years ago, I put away my brushes and carving tools to devote my time to my new passion of web design and internet marketing.
I actually started building websites back in 2000, for some of my sign clients, but didn’t see it as a fulltime gig and never really pursued it. I started out building sites from scratch with Dreamweaver and Frontpage promoting affiliate programs.
It was a real pain and seemed to take forever until the blogging craze gave us this wonderful little free program called WordPress. A simple change to a header graphic transforms a boring theme into a mouthwatering piece of eye candy, and the search engines love them.
Last year, while working on a launch in the offline niche, I was developing a local directory site of my own, when I stumbled on a forum that had alot of very generous contributors.
Before I knew it, I was giving away free headers to folks because it was something I could do with relative ease, like little sign banners, and give back to the forum building my reputation.
After receiving numerous requests for blog headers, I realized it was a service I could provide and really enjoy.
So, that’s the BlogHeaderGuy story.
